Not only Mundane & Everyday Astrology, but possibly daily horoscopes, Chinese Astrology and Qigong, expanded Political Astrology Links, More Catherine Ponder and New Thought Philosophy,,..as much as One site can hold! it is boring, it is simply the old way of referring to what would now be called Political Astrology, the Astrology of Nations and their leaders. Analyzing charts for national and tribal insight is the second oldest use of Astrology. When charts were hard to do due to the necessity of constant observation, only kings & priests could have the benefits of a personal chart. As a result, the King's chart and progressions to it, was used as a way of national forecasting.Even today, studying a President's or Prime Minister's chart in comparison to a national chart indicates whether or not he/slhe will easily work with that nation.

For years reliable advance forecasting was laborious due to the inability to do future planet placements. Kepler's discovery of the elliptical nature of planetary movement allowed for this. But now that it was easier to do charts because of the growth of almanacs,political astrology began to take a back seat to personal charts. I have my own personal chart posted on this website, and it is very insightful. But personal charts alone cannot provide the perspective needed to understand world and group dynamics. In addition to this, with the decline and fall of monarchy, astrologers who once advised rulers now had to work with the general public. As a result, there was little financial incentive to specialize in Mundane Astrology. It had to become a sideline to the more lucrative personal birthchart business. Political astrology, and astrology in general, fell into disfavor as a profession.

While it survived despite the disdain of certain elites and religious groups, it did so at a cost. Practitioners could only practice discreetly, especially when advising politicians and other professionals. A few examples: J.P. Morgan, once the wealthiest person in the United States, used Evangeline Adams as an adviser on his many projects. British Intelligence used astrologers so that they would know what Hitler's were telling him. Not that the Fuhrer really believed in it.(He persecuted independents who were telling the people he would soon be finished.) He just used whatever means he felt necessary to achieve his goals. A recent example was Nancy Reagan using Joan Quigley in order to time the President's schedule. Joan credits her use of astrology in preventing many governmental mishaps by the former President.

As a member of the general public, you can try this for yourself without worrying so much about a public reputation.

This website is attempting to fill that gap by using the United States Birthchart the same way as you would use a reading of a personal chart. The source of the birthchart is the work of Barry Lyons, author of the bookThe Next 20 Years a respected Mundane Astrologer,(unfortunately he is not yet on the internet.)The Book may be out of print(it was self-published) but his scholarship convinced me to go with his birthchart once I interpreted it.

My experience with Mundane Astrology comes from the days when I, along with a group of other astrologers, had a radio show on which dealt with both listeners questions and things from that day's or week's headlines.

I soon found out that by simply studying the newspaper each month that that month's headlines reflected the SunSign for that month. If you study the newspaper and pay attention to what issues come up during the SunSign,you will learn what this is all about.
